CB Nursery is an integral part of Chawda Bagh. Chawda Bagh started its journey in farming in 1952 and since then it always has been in the hunt for new technologies for improving farm productivity. CB Nursery has been growing healthy nurseries in the insect-proof poly houses for lot of farmers in our region and slowly started to expand operations in other states as well. Earlier we used to grow nursery for our farms only, impressed by quality of the nursery plants other farmers started requesting us to grow nursery for them as well, we provided healthy nursery plants to our fellow farmers, plants were able to accomplish farmer’s needed quality material. This way CB Nursery started from 2012 – 13 which is touching its heights today. We are now the first private nursery in Central India to have an automatic seeding line. We have expanded our operations across 3 states, growing quality planting material in over 30 acres of naturally ventilated and climate control poly houses equipped with state-of-the-art growing technology to meet quality standards of farmers.
Headquarters of CB Nursery is located in Village Chandanidih, Tatibandh, Raipur (C.G.). It has 10 acres of nursery growing in naturally ventilated Polyhouses with 1.5 acre of climate-controlled polyhouse equipped with grafting facility. CB nursery is central India’s first private nursery to have installed a completely automated seeding line. First assisting unit is located in Village Narra, Mahasamund (C.G.), which has 10-acre of Poly House, also equipped with our second automated seeding machine. Our second unit is situated in village Pondi, Balaghat (MP) which has 3 acres of polyhouse, and it will further be expanded. One other unit is located near Raipur which contributes to increasing the production capacity of the nursery with more than 10 acres of polyhouses. Furthermore, our nursery unit which is located near Vadodara in Gujrat has 4 acres of polyhouses serving farmers with good quality nursery.
Grafting is a method in which a new plant is prepared by selection of a resistant rootstock (against root knot nematode and Soil born diseases) and a high yielding scion (as per farmer’s choice) which gives farmers a better crop in their field. CB nursery has mastered production technique of preparing grafted nursery, have been providing quality nursery to our fellow farmers. Grafted nurseries are proving to be more useful in areas where soil-related diseases are more prevalent, the grafted nursery being prepared in CB nursery today is becoming a boon in those areas.
